Born and raised in Southeastern North Carolina, Fred learned the importance of hard work, family values, and community service at an early age. Having presided over thousands of criminal, civil, domestic, and juvenile matters as a District Court Judge, he understands the real-world impact that court decisions have on the lives of North Carolina families and small businesses.

Judge Gore believes firmly in judicial restraint. A judge’s role is not to legislate from the bench or reshape the law to fit personal convictions, but to uphold the Constitution of North Carolina and the United States as written, ensuring equal justice under the law for every individual who enters the courtroom.

As a District Court Judge serving Brunswick, Bladen, and Columbus counties, Judge Gore manages a heavy docket encompassing family law, civil disputes, criminal proceedings, and juvenile cases with fairness and efficiency.

Serving as a Major and Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard, Fred has answered the call of duty with overseas deployments, defending the rule of law in demanding operational environments.
